Hello and greetings from Puerto Rico !
As the title mentioned , I'm currently working on my "Mirkwood Palace guard" armor .
I plan on using the less amount of synthetic material as possible . Therefore I'll be using steel and leather for the armor .
Going to use a combination of 16 gauge and 20 gauge steel for the helmet and armor.
Planning on having it ready for the premiere of The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies,(lets see if they allow me to use it in the mall XD jajaja)

Reference pictures on the armor :

Process Pictures :

Started working on the helmet. I used an old "bascinet "helmet top that I made a couple of months ago (16 gauge steel) .

Began to alter it . forming the leaves on the sides .

I come from a family of metal workers, so I can appreciate what it is like to work with metal. I have to say that you have done an excellent job, metal working is no easy task.

I am going to go out on a limb and guess you used stick weld as opposed to mig with the gauge of steel you had there?

Thanks Friends :D
And answering Killtime question: Yes I used a Stick weld for the helmet , i have plans on obtaining a mig soon , but for now im using this :)

Some Minor Updates on the Project :)
