MY Marty McFly Lenticular BTTF II Hat

JUST received this in the mail. I have been waiting YEARS for one of these hats and have been holding out. I first heard rumors over a year ago that they were coming and decided to wait. They used to be available in the Universal Studios gift shop about a decade and a half ago, and I have seen these go for hundreds on eBay. I think they really did a great job:

In terms of accuracy, I do think the colors MIGHT be a tad off. In this case, the pink or red tends to look darker than the one in the film, and even the universal studios hat.

Amazingly, these things are CHEAP too. On Amazon.com, you can find one for about $16 plus shipping.

I wonder how hard it would be to make one with some spray paint? I suppose the finished result would have to look glossy to match the film version...

This is the hat that DST released, right? I remember seeing pictures of the proto a long time ago. Or is this some other one you found online?

Certainly is "shiny".. and that is always good.

I had a red shirt on yesterday and I didn't think the hat looked half bad. I WAS considering wearing it out until my girlfriend reminded me how fast I am willing to listen when she says I look "ridiculous." :lol

It might not show shipping to Germany but they will send it as its in the European Union, i've had things off the german Amazon with no problem. At the very worse they will just cancel the order.

Hmm...do you have this problem with all one-size-fits all hats? Mine seemed pretty standard in size. Is it possible they sent you a kid's had? Do I have an unusually small head?

If you do a quick search on ebay for "BTTF Hat" there's a guy there that sells them worldwide for $25 each. Looks like he just re-sells the one from Amazon.com, worth a shot if Amazon doesn't work out.

No, it's the 'one size fits all', and it still doesn't fit all the way down.

It would be impossible. The hat is a color shifting lenticular plastic.

Does the DST hat have an adjustable strap in the back or is it like the one in the movie? I read somewhere that the DST had would have the adjustable strap (which would be VERY innacurate). But if it is a true one size fits all, I might have to invest in one of these.
