My ironman mk3 build thread

I need some advice how would it be best to attach the front and back sections together. I have attached all the support pieces on the back of both of them but now they won't fit together as the support bits are in the way. Would resining the pieces separately then heating them so are workable be a good way to go or removing the support pieces then glueing both bits to get her be better. I don't like the idea of removing the supports as the give it the correct shape. Any ideas?

Well I worked a system where I only had to remove 1 large stiffener from the back and a slight trim of another on the top part of the chest and back there was no real that matches up to indicate where to join them so I consulted a couple of reference pictures and decided to place them from that. Those are the areas circled in red in the picture.

I started to resin my joined chest and back after much thought about attaching all the back dongles first I decided to attach them after a coat of resin. My Idea is after it is hardened I will be able to glue the big back dongle to the back then do the smaller ones as individual parts as I would like them to move on the finished back. Iv resined half the inside today after completing the out side. I also got a blob of resin on my are and I can tell you it's better than wax at getting hair off you. I propped the whole think up on plastic cups with a bit of aluminium foil placed over them as the resin does not stick to it. View attachment 146740View attachment 146741
