I just made a MASSIVE score from Hellboy I.
Creature stuff might not be up your alley but there's so much engineering goodness in this bunch that you can't help but admire it. This is my first big prop purchase and it's from a property that is extremely close to my heart. It's amazing just having this stuff around. I feel like a true prop collector now.
First is 4 Sammael tongues.
The first is a version with poseable tendrils at the end.
The second is a fully cable controlled version with full length movement and 2 segments of movement in each tendril.
Third is a hard ramrod version . I think it was storyboarded but never used.
Last was 2 segments of back up skins that were never used. The paint is beautiful!
Iv'e had a little trouble IDing this one. It looks like Agent Clay but the hair is wrong. There is also indentations of a hand around his jaw but Kroenen doesn't hold him this way in his death scene. His neck is cable controlled and he has a twisting mechanism. Unfortunately the silicone is in terrible shape.
Obviously the wardrobe is not accurate:rolleyes
This piece was a big surprise to me. This is a back plate that has a channel which the end of Kroenen's blade slides into. 2 cables control the movement as the blade slides out in a very nice movement. I beleive agent Clay wore this.
Another piece I wasn't expecting to find was this MASSIVE tendril of doom! This was the tentacle that wraps around HB at the end of the movie. There are 2 anchor points and a plate that attached to HB. The last 5' of the tentacle have cable controls for that special writhing motion.
This is another big cable controlled tentacle. It's different from the last one and I'm not exactly sure how it was used but it was also from the climactic battle. The full length of the tentacle is cable controlled.
I don't quite know what to do with all these things in my limited space but I'm thrilled to death to have them. Most of the control mechanisms are missing so I definitely want to rebuild those at some point.
I hope some of you enjoy seeing this
