My HD War Machine suit (PIC-HEAVY) New Model done! a new construction starts!!!

Re: My HD War Machine suit (PIC-HEAVY)

Thank bro...So far in materials I think around $250-$300, cutting the thigh was around 4 hrs, and another 3 more putting them together.....

Re: My HD War Machine suit (PIC-HEAVY)

So time for another update; I have the pair of boots made and I will stop gluing for a while and concentrate on doing the whole fiber glassing and bondo on the boots, that way if I screw something up at least is not a big piece. I received a surprise gift from my wife, Bondo and spot putty, so I get to practice yay!!!!:):):):)

Re: My HD War Machine suit (PIC-HEAVY)

This its cool..I like the fact that you are putting the scale..by the way what shore size n scale you used for boots? Thanks..i'm making my own my first helmet came out huge then my second came out small i'm making my third now the good thing you get to know which part is which ..by the third one..lol

Re: My HD War Machine suit (PIC-HEAVY)

I used Zabana's boot file and increased it by 10% and fit just fine with my sneakers, by the way I'm a 10.5 US size...I will be posting pictures soon...

My HD War Machine suit (PIC-HEAVY) 07/05/12 update

Another update on my project, finished fiber glassing the boots; wow, what a pain in the behind!!!! The heat makes the resin cure so much quicker, if I work on the kitchen smells like crazy....anyway here is what I got

First the boots all done, next bondo stage....

And here is one of the thighs, both done

Next is fiber glassing the thighs, harden the shins and torso, stop there and go to town on the boots, I figure that if I mess them up at least is a small part and I can re-build them...I think I may finish all these parts first until the primer stage then finish the rest...

My HD War Machine suit (PIC-HEAVY)- Gatlin gun coming soon-see pics-

So here is a preview of my beauty; thank to my new friend, which until he allows me to mention him will stay anonymous, I don't know if he is making a run but I will relay any inquiries to him...

What I'm looking for here is something practical, not too elaborate, and also light as a feather....no motors or any of that which I'm fine with it (for now), there is a way to make it rotate but not into that (yet)....

Thank you guys, well my friend, the master behind those puppies is my new friend Malaki a.k.a wondersquid!!! he may be doing a interest thread later on this month I guess, he is been busy with some TV work and some cons too...anyway, it's 12:43 am and getting ready to finish trimming the parts, tomorrow, I will put them together...by the way the material he uses is really thick and strong...

Hey by the way, any of you have played around gluing vacuum formed pieces? Electraflier was cool sending me some ideas, and I was looking in youtube and saw something that I wonder if it would work, is the liquid they use to glue acrylic, it's strong bonding what you think?

I can't wait to see my friend! Things are moving along! These builds are like that though, they go in fits and starts. You labor and build and stuggle with little or no apprent progress then Bang! You've got a bunch done! It seems just figuring things out is the longest part. I look forward to your progess and thanks so much for your help and finding a mini gun for me LOL!

Re: My HD War Machine suit (PIC-HEAVY)-Gatling Gun pics added

First, is the arm guns, So here is what so far I have done. I have to go to home depot with some of the plastic pieces and ask around what is the best cement I can use. I went to a "Hobby Town" store and the kids there didn't have any idea what to recommend, so I browsed around And found this:

It does work, but the drying time is too long and I need a clamp to keep the pieces set...Since I don have a band sander I cut the pieced the best I can, there is some uneven edges so I will used the method Electraflier recommended

So I make a lip and the glue it to on side of the gun using some paper clips I can prop them to stay until it gets dry...

So now, the tip of gun barrel is going in. I have to make a stencil to make the hole on the front of the gun
