This is one of those projects that was 90% done for twenty years, but only in the past year did I bring it over the finish line. Thank you to all the RPF members who helped get this project completed, and to all the people who did so much amazing research and engineering on the side panels. They really do tie the whole thing together.

Awesome! Someday I'm going to attempt one of these.

I have an old SW Insider mag where collectors send in questions to Steve Sansweet. The collector was asking who made their Carbonite replica and said it was accurate, better than the IC version, etc. Sansweet crapped all over it saying he wouldn't give two cents for it and the IC version was the most accurate because it was licensed.

The IC had a lot going going for it, namely that it was actually available and ready for display. I would say aside from the control panels, it looked good to my eyes. And of course it came out before the volvo panels were discovered. Once those came to light, the race to accuracy was on. I know there's a few things about mine that I could change, but for me, "done" trumps "perfect" in this case :D

Nice work! I really like the paint job. You're missing a 'small tube' on the hero panel! It should be on the circle mark between the two T pieces and the lower set of red 7 segment display lights
