In the next five posts or so are pics of my finally built up john long phaser, i've had it for awhile now and decided to start it. Let me just say this is the greatest kit I have ever done!!! Its so accurate, and beautifuly crafted, if you have done one, I highly suggest it! I ran into a couple snags on the way, but i'm very pleased with the outcome, I deviated a little as you can see with the jet black color, but I plan on doing another one that more screen accurate, Thanks for looking, sorry for the pics, my camera is broken so all these photos were taken on my iphone.

and more...

starting to take shape...

almost there...

and here ya have it, let me know what you think, any places to improve on and whatnot

Looks like a nice buildup! Can you elaborate on the "snags" you ran into for those of us who haven't started the kit yet?

We'll, when I was assembling it at the near end of the project, it ended up that the cover for the bottom was longer than the phaser itself, there was some overhang, that had to be sanded down and repainted and the screw had to be re-alligned, witch was hard cause it was put in place with jb weld, witch as you know, its extremely hard stuff, and the battery housing was too big fully assembled, so I had to cut it down with a tile cutting bit and fit in place, other than that, its just a matter of drilling the inside shell perfect so that everything fits in its place. But other than those little snags, this was the best kit i've ever built, soooooo fun!

Very nice build. I have built a few of those and they are definitely the coolest kit that I have built.
