My Forbidden Planet Blaster FINISHED!

Some of you may have seen my "electronics help" thread a few days ago. Well, I fixed the problem and now this baby is finished! It was a reject quality cast originally, so it required a lot of clean-up. All the silver details are done with Testors buffable metalizer paint, so it has a realistic metallic sheen. I polished up the acrylic "christmas tree" and inserted an incandescent light bulb, rather than an LED. Something just didn't feel right about an LED in a 50's prop. I've been on a bit of a Forbidden Planet kick lately as I just posted my Robby the Robot build-up in the general modeling forum:
