My first build!

Ok I have a little more progress. Got the jaw pepped and the face finished. Seeing as I have a full time job and am currently in the middle of a career change as with family time also. I do not have alot of time to devote to this project in one setting. I hope to be applying resin by next week. I also think im gonna get the neck going. I am going to make a display piece for the time being.

Got the head almost done. I will fix all the uneven edges before I glass, which I hope to do this weekend.

Stated sealing up all the little holes on the inside. Getting close to hardening the helmet. Dont know if it will be this weekend though.

Seeing this stuff sone in paper blows my mind. I guess it doesn't always have to be in platics or the like.

Yeah I was amazed when I stumbled on to the pepakura method and thought I am definitely going to do a build. I have gotten the head, face and jaw sealed up and ready for hardening. I messed up and pepped the ear wrong.:facepalm It wouldnt go together so I have to reprint the pieces and try again. I have attached the face to the head. I am waiting on attaching the jaw until I get the ear pepped.

Ok got the helmet altogether excep for the ears. I was wondering if I should go ahead and harden now or wait till I have the ears in as well? Any suggestions are more then welcome!

i hardend mine without ears as im doing them seperate i think its better because you could use em as caps for say a speaker o summin

How exactly did you do it? I have only added the necessary piece to complete the helmet. It is the piece that is part of the side and forms the first ridge in the ear opening. Should I add any more pieces before I harden? What about the glue tabs not staying in the right position when I do go to add the ear to it? Any advice is always welcome and appreciated.

Well finally got it resined and fiberglassed on the inside. I have decided to build the neck and build a display piece with light up eyes and give it as a gift. I will up load pics of my progress within the next day or two.

Looking good! I'm almost at a point to where I'm comfortable of beginning my own build. still pondering on doing an Iron Man, Storm Trooper, or Master Chief bucket though. I'll keep an eye out for your progress. but again, great work so far!

Looks like a GREAT start.

What will this become - Iron Man or War Machine?
If you're doing Iron Man, are you going for the full costume?
If so, which version?
