My first build, Alphonse Elric, then Gypsy Danger

I got my workbench finished, stereo installed for tunes, tools, foam, heat gun, fans, router, lighting (LED strips going in) and wife support
Still might add another side to the table saw to give one long continuous work area and add a bench vise. I have a grinder/polisher already, trying to figure out where to put it, I like the flat continuous work surfaces, maybe put them both on the opposite wall or behind the work bench.
I need some PDF versions of Alphonse, or I gotta buy a Pepakura program to print them

ok, so I got a bunch of stuff. The thick mat from last time is there, new think mat, new is a radio face, paper mache cones for Alphonse's knees, helmet and shoulders, nitrite gloves, black welding gloves, and knee pads from HF for $4 for a base to build off of (cheaper than building them). I know, your asking "whats with the radio face?", micro switches! I can use them in either the Dark Helmet or Gypsy Danger builds, or in my truck project to build sunken in radio controls under the vinyl of my center console!

this pepakura stuff is harder than it looks, lots of time cutting! OMG OMG OMG
wife has me on a build time limit, 6 months till the local con

ok, been working the pepakura files, but I think they might be too small. I printed them on regular paper, than read about card stock and had to start my helmet over, not a big deal. I built the shoulder bell and need to maybe resize the whole project. Im 5'8 and 285, but barrel chested for real

What are you building it out of? With a pep designer program, it shouldn't be too hard to resize the template. JFcustom here on the forums would be the person to ask for advice. He's helped me with all my size and scaling issues with pep templates.

yeah the torso is up next. I was in a rush to see progress after weeks and built the arm, but the shoulder piece WILL hit the torso piece.
So Im working on the torso this weekend and then will go from there.

ok, heres one of my tips I was going to post up. People talk about where to get the canvas and clips to hold stuff together, Dollar General! Dog collars, they are only a buck! cut it and have an adjustable clip! The dog paws come right off with your thumb, they are that cheap!

Im using different shoes so I made these bigger than they need to be, but they look good in person
