My Endo Terminator T-800 bust project

Hi all.
I wanted to share a project I completed a few months ago.
It is a terminator T-800 endo bust. I made a quick step-by-step guide on a basic website as a guide for those planning on making one.

I voluntarily left my errors and mistakes on there for all to see, followed by my corrections.
Hopefully this could help some avoid doing the same mistakes I made.

Feel free to comment.
Here are a few pix.

I've been wanting to something just like this to one of those repopped vinyl kits you always see on ebay.

Good to see someone go through all the processes first! Thanks!

Great job!!! Did you use Alclad chrome on the bust?

Yes. I used the ALCLAD II LACQUER CHROME (alc107) for the entire project.
You need a nice shiny black coat first. All airbrushed.

I might have put a little too much chrome thought... you should try to see a little bit of black trough the chrome but didn't really achieve that. Still looks good I think.

Still wondering if I should add a clear coat over all of it... what do you guys think?

The base is made out of wood. Should have primed it first... up close you can see the alclad did not stick evenly... gotta learn from your mistakes right!

The final step was a quick wash with black paint and watter... this makes all the details pop-up and makes it a little more dirty, more realistic.

Thx for your comments.
Feel from to ask me if you need more info!

No. I am in the process of building a dio with 3x 18" Neca endoskeletons and I have done heaps of research regarding the Alclad chrome application. The massive majority of people report that any form of clear coat ruins the chrome effect. I would keep it as is. Looks fantastic.

Also, where did you buy your fake teeth from. I tried looking around for individual teeth like you used but all I find are the ones that come as a whole raw of teeth.

Thx for the info! I wont clear it then. First idea seems to always be the best.

For the teeth, I got them on ebay... i'll see if I can find de vendor back.. but I had to buy 3 complete sets... so i'm 2 sets over... PM me if your interested.

Excellent job.

I am just awaiting delivery of one these kits, this thread will be of great use to me. Thanks.

Great! Feel free to write if you got any questions.
I hope your kit will be complete. As you probably saw on my page, I was missing a few parts I had to create on my own...

Good luck!

My first thought when checking out the kit on ebay was to change the teeth out, i even sourced a fake set before making the purchase on the kit. So it was great to see you'd done it.

I'm still waiting on the kit so havent had a look at it yet, I was just wondering how you extracted the originals? Did you just cut them out with a dremmel or does a good craft knife get through the vinyl?

Your blog page on this is superb so hopefully I'll not have to bother you too much.

Hi again!
I used an utility knife. Not an easy job... be carefull.

Note that not all the teeth from my kit were able to fit. I had a pair left over for the bottow jaw if I remember correctly.

And once your gum has been made and you placed your teeth the way you want them, then wait t'il the gum is 75% dry and remove the teeth. This will let a perfect imprint. That way you will be able to paint without the teeth in your way. Once painted, simply super-glue them back in place.

Have fun !
