Hey guys, this is like my first build thread... ever... I am both excited and terrified. I have decided to start an Arkham Origins version of Deathstroke, I will try and keep this updated as I make progress. Not only is this my first build thread, but this is my first major costume build, SO I'M SURE I WILL BE COMING BACK FOR LOTS OF HELP ha. I've made costumes before, but none like this. I am nervous as to how it will all turn out, but I am trying to stay optimistic and I have most of it figured out.
Starting with the mask, first time with the pepakura method, but so far I am very pleased with it. I have one layer of resin on the outside of the mask, and one layer of fiberglass on the inside, and it fits perfect. I am curious though, as a general rule of thumb, based on research I have done, it sounds like people do atleast two layers of fiberglass on the inside, and three layers of resin on the outside, does that sound correct/appropriate for this mask? Also, I know you need to sand in between layers for the resin to better adhere to the mask, but how much sanding should be done? Should there be basically no shiny parts left? Please help!
