Thank you all for supporting me in my quest to make a chopper predator costume of my own. However I will nolonger be working on my predator because i hav been working so hard on it i hav become obsessed to an extent to get it done tht its effecting my grades and my football career. A large argument took place and now i cant draw, think, talk and or work on my predator suit I am sorroy for the incompleteness of this thread but my mom is my mom and i hav to listen to her.
My suit was expected to be complete in a couple months but now it'll have to be finished in about a year or so, until my grades get better,i mature and get responsible. For now i hav hidden my suit from vision into a hidden but protective spot, so i dont get tempted.

Thank you Hayden for bein so supportive i wish i could finish and show you. sry
I still will visit the lair just with an incomplete suit.

P.S. I am not crazy or angry i just am following rules i hav brought upon myself due to my behavior,Thank you again for all the upraising comments. :down:

I know you're pulling back from the Pred work - but I hope you read this comment someday. I think its really important you listen.



Not to be the voice of dissonance here - but hey - judging by your dedication and your c budding stills - a career in art might be your real path. Keep to you schooling and what you have to do to 'pay the bills' as far as scholarships and such go. Discipline and the ability to trudge through work you may not care much about is important - - but don't let people drive you completely away from what drives you and fires you up.



I always practiced art in my youth much as you seem to, but I grew up in a small town where Cattle Ranching was a huge part of the economy, and being quiet bright I went into veterinary medicine - did years of study and internships and all of that and at some point during an 8 hr operation it dawned on me how much I hated the work.



Basically. I quit med school and my internship at the zoo. ( Oh yes imagine the parent horror when you tell em your quitting med school to go into art) So went back to school - leaving med school to wander her and there studying at different colleges until I hooked up with ex ILM artists teaching at a university in California. I got a few scholarships and went through some hard times believe me, but I have been working in art quite successfully for the past 17 years, making fantasy, commercial illustrations, 2d/3d games and creatures, environments, design, UI and the like. I've even taught Art at some universities for years and did contract work fro the US military. By the time I was 28 I was making more than my parents and actually enjoying what I did (er well most of the time. )



Not all art you get paid to do is great. There's a lot of 'paying the bills' work when your an artist. But even if I'm working on some "fantasy' knock off illustration, I make it kick butt as much as I can, knowing that a large part of success in the clients project has been because of my work.



Bottom line - put down the personal work to fulfil your immediate obligations - but don't let them squelch your dreams or prevent you from practicing with moderation. Instead of watching TV or playing video games - practice your art. Make time for the important things in life - YES Absoluetly - but if your Art is part of that, don't neglect it either.

@Eaglewood,Sorrow- thanks guys tht makes me feel alot better, i will come back to it but i just gotta get a good report card, and show my maturity prolly by getting a job. Chances are its not gonna take me a year to finish but thts the worse case scenario.

@CATHAT- I read and understood your comment thanks for the awsome tips ill keep tht in mind. Im not lettin anybody pull me from art i just gotta take a predator break for now until i^^^^(gave reason up there).
Ive actually played less video games since i started this suit but oh well. I appreciate your concern and the time you put into makin sucha large comment

Sry guys for the emotional disasters but i found a loophole, im not being kept from the suit i can just only work on it on the weekends, as soon as i get my resin armour from Hayden i'll be back in buisness with plenty of pics and updates.

Cant wait to paint them then all i gotta do is a mr. i. suit thts it
Oh and the face halfmask or full depends on how im feeling :)
