hi my name is jorge and this is like my first time creating a thread for me making a costume but here it is .
i am making a Casshern Sins cosplay and so i started on the helmet first
i went to a local play it again sports store and bought a baseball helmet a vt-3000 yea sounds legit lol .

heres the helmet:
so what i did was cut off the visor part , then cut the helmet in half and take out a few inches , so that the helmet would fit me like a glove and since the helmet was so big on me
next i fiberglassed the helmet back together
i had to cut off a piece from the back so i can curve it more inwards i used cardstock and fiberglass to do that
next i added the ends tips to the helmet so it can look more accurate i cut out cardstock and just fiberglassed it on
now to the long part after i just about finberglass all of the helmet i need to shape it . i used bondo for that with a cheese grader and 36/80 grit sand paper
next i needed to start on the ear part i decided the best way was to do this in two parts . the first part was the circle shape on the helmet so i took foam shaoed it then fiberglassed it onto the helmet .i put fiberglass ontop and in between the helmet once that dried i grinded then bondo it to make it nice and smooth so i can add the second part . for the second part i cut some cardstock and fiberglassed it then attached it to the helmet
heres what it looks like with a little shaping
next i started on the fin ( the back part of the helmet ) so i cut cardstock and made it so that it has a piece that fits into the helmet next i fiberglassed it then i cut a line in the helmet so i can put it in and have a smooth clean look
now i started on the mask part . i just used like this paper mache strips i got at Michael to form my face shape after i got a mold i fiberglass the inside to make it stronger well i used used the resin not any of the mat but i did that on top aswell i also added cardstock to to if to make the the front part so i can use less bondo when i shape it so it wont be so heavy
here it is with resis on it
