Thanks, I call it an 'action stand'. Last time I did one was for my Aurora Flying Sub; a stream of foamy water off the bottom of the sub was the stand. Less than a diorama, but more than a base with a rod.

By any chance did you post a link to reference of the X-71 from Armageddon?

If anybody would happen to have that folder of images I would greatly appreciate it. I'm building a Fantastic Plastic kit and the reference would allow me to produce a finished model that is in-line with the screen used models, as is usually the desire.
