I'm a CS menber and I cant see Crap :unsure is threre something wrong I have no order status and when I log in it asks me to becaume a CS member :lol :lol :lol[/b]
Have you ever successfully logged in as a CS member and seen your discount coupon codes?

For me, every time I sign in to the MR site using my user name and password, the first screen I see after logging in is the CS member page listing the discount codes and other benefits of membership. If you've paid your membership fee for 2006 and you're not seeing that screen, I'd say something is definitely wrong.

I suggest you telephone MR to get this fixed; if my experience is any indication, their Customer Service Department has basically given up responding to the majority of written inquiries in the past year.

looks like its sold out now though 3:43 EST
[/b]

Well, right now it is 7:20 pm pacific time and the MR site still shows it available for sale. I wonder how close it REALLY is to being sold out...

I ordered one this morning at 9:05 PST. This blaster was the whole reason for my joining MR collector's society in the first place. I was reading the copy again tonight and noticed this bit of information:

"a plastic plumbing joint expander was glued to the magazine to make the gun's unique front grill."

Did I miss a thread around here or something because this is news to me. Last I knew we were still under the impression that the grill was a model airplane part.

I called this morning and ordered one over the phone.

Just logged in and checked my ordeer status. Oh, look, the nice folks ordered me a ESB blaster instead. That box will get marked "REFUSED: RETURN TO SENDER" as soon as it shows up.

Nice. I guess I'll just keep my money.

Just check on the box to see which one they do send you when you get it Alex, maybe it'll be the wrong/right one they send you by mistake.

:lol Good point. Maybe in this case, two wrongs will make a right... and at a somewhat cheaper price. :p

Well I actually ended up at a PC for ordering time so I managed to get my order in. I was kinda worried I'd miss out :D

$214.93 Economy shipping to the UK is a bit ridiculous though - but in the end it all comes from the toy budget so that's less that I can spend on the prop part of my purchases and more cash in Fedexs pocket.

I don't think so. The ad copy (yeah, I know, I read...and believed...MR ad copy, bad Alex no doughnut) shows the ANH shipping this fall. Since they shipped the LE (marked as the LE, charged as the LE, and coded as the ESB LE on their website) to me yesterday, it isn't the EE in that box.

Nice.

Looks as if FedEx is the only winner here.

Not that it's important, but is this the slowest selling "Elite" item from MR? 4 months after it went on sale and it is still on sale. I wonder if there is less demand or if the edition size is just much larger.

Yes it's the slowest selling EE. The edition size is 1250 just like the Obi TPM EE - but I guess there's just not the demand for another version of the Han ANH blaster that they thought there was. Of course the impending arrival of the Falcon couldn't have helped - and once that went up alot of people cancelled their Han EE orders just to make things worse.

I don't think this will sell out until after it starts shipping - once people see proper pics of it (the promo ones that we're pre-ordering against are awful), and hear from those that have one then I reckon the last of the stock will shift.

Weirdest part of the whole thing for me is that they didn't have it for show at Comic Con.

It really is weird, this has to be one of the most poorly promoted items they have had. As you said, nothing to show at Comic Con which would have been a great sales pitch to join the collectors society, no photos anywhere of it other than the poor ones on the site and yes, once again MR has piled all it's pricey items into the same general release time making the collector say "which one will I buy?" instead being able to spread things out a bit.

I like MR, don't get me wrong and I have a blaster on order, but after a couple of years of how many big ticket items can we release right around the holiday season I have to ask myself what the hell the marketing folks at MR are thinking.

Ok, end rant.....
