Just got the CE edition of the Qui-Gon saber from MR. Beautiful piece, but the outer silver casing does NOT seem like metal to me -- the very top emitter piece appears to be metal as it is cold to the touch, but other than the red knob, I can't determine if there is any other metal on the saber.
I thought the entire saber, or at least the outter silver sleave, was supposed to be cast metal.
The saber certainly has heft, but not sure where weight is coming from, unless it is the inner black portion that is metal, although it appears ot be resin.
If this subject has been discussed, my apologies -- but I couldn't find it on other CE saber discussion threads.
