MR Han Solo ANH blaster info need

I recently was able to aquire a MR Han Solo ANH blaster and notice that on mine, the silver disc on the left side of the blaster is missing. Is this normal? For owner of this blaster, is your disc also missing? I want to find out to ensure that I am not getting a defective MR blaster. Any info is much appericated.

I had it and the disc was missing. It was part of the design.

Yes, I had it and the disc was missing too. If I remember well, it was explained on the blaster background booklet. MR studied several props for making this replica (some with disc, some without, some with the nozzle in a position, some with the nozzle in another position...) and they had to choose which one to realise. They choosed the one that everybody knows on promotional pictures...

Not sure but the story seems like that.
