MR Falcon

Has anybody figured the exact scale of the model? I figured it was 1:26 or so but I don't know if that is correct. I would like to know so I have an idea of what other models are of similar scales. Perhaps the Lanspeeder that comes with the Deluxe Sculting book is about the same.

I'm not the expert here, but Fine Molds claims 1:72 and its just about half the size, so 1:35 - 1:36 ish...?

Bump for any updates :D :D is the Falcon still shipping out in the first few weeks of December ?

Does anyone have any idea on the longevity of the lighting system in the falcon and if any provisions were made for replacement of the bulbs or led's? Also, has anyone read Lee's Toy Review about the Falcon and if so, is it worth picking up an issue to read?

Its funny looking at the factory shipping pics...it almost looks like the Falcons are being built in shacks.

I received this e-mail today on my falcon order. :love :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

I think there is info. on the lighting system earlier in this thread, my understanding it is led based and will last an extremely long time. As for Lee's Toy Review, I've read it and for the price of the magazine I didn't find the review very informative and there are hardly any good pics. Save your money.. There is more info. about the Falcon on this thread.

Again, anyone know the dimensions of the shipping box for this sucker (er, Falcon i mean)? I have to build another garage to park it in :lol .

I look at these pictures and it makes me wonder if these guys even know what's inside of those boxes. I bet that with the sale of one of those that they could feed their families for a year there.

PS. Here's a question. How many Chinese does it take to unload a trailer of MR Falcons?

I picked this up. It doesn't really say anything we don't already know except it does give some construction details and has photos of different construction stages and close ups of parts of the ship.

They end it by saying that they saw one in person and it looks great and if you can afford it.. buy it. They also mention how cool it is to have a Harrison Ford autograph and the first item to have the 30th anniversary logo.

One interesting mention said the signature edition sold out very quickly but I thought it was on the website longer...I could be wrong.

A whole lotta captions come to mind for this pic.

How many of you will be saving the shipping carton? I save mine for possible sales in the future or when I move. But the size of that box and my limited storage will make that practice impossible for this replica.
