There's not much of merit here, but I did find it hilarious.
This will no doubt be taken as an admittal of my acquiescence of all things perverse. But for those who know the difference between fantasy and reality there is a lot to find funny.
As for the sequence, the second has been banned in the U.K., which under a Tory government just might be the start of a not so new but worrying trend.

Theres some great stuff on the DVD, great interview with the writer/director
The idea came when he and some friends were watching TV and a story came up on the news about a pedaphile being caught. His friend said 'They should stitch that pedaphiles mouth to the ass of a fat truck driver'

I enjoy a good bit of gore/exploitation flick etc, but THC was flat out boring. Maybe if they put more thought into the movie than trying to prove it could literally be done then they couldve turned it into something epic. As for all these reviews stating THC and THC2 being the most horrifying films ever made; who is reviewing these flicks? coz it clearly aint people who are fans of horror. Now you want yerself some cheeky gore/horror/walk out the cinema (I know a lot of people will throw transformers 2 and 3 into that catagory) watch something like "i spit on your grave" "cannibal holocaust" and "salo: 120 days of sodom".
but for those who have not watched THC yet, avoid it because its 2 hours you'll never get back.

So...you had NO idea what you were about to watch? I'm guessing you did and you watched it anyway and now you're complaining about the subject matter?
I don't get it. I seem to hear this from a lot of people who watched it. Did somebody switch this with their Care Bear DVD and they were duped into watching it? Now if you knowwhat the movie is about (like I did) THEN say it's garbage, that is completely understandable. But to state things like "Its really just a perverted flick with gross acts that aim for shock and disgust value."...I mean, honestly, what did you think this movie was about when you bought/rented/borrowed it?

It's TOTALLY over hyped in my opinion. It's one of the only films I wouldn't watch again (along with the Zombie Diaries, but that's another story!!!!!). It's got nothing in it to make me want to watch it again, sure it's a totally sick concept but it's a total waste of film in my eyes, wasn't scary or over the top gory.
I wouldn't even class it as a horror movie, I haven't seen the sequel and don't have any desire too, not that I'll ever get chance with my nanny government deciding what I should be allowed to watch anyway.

I try to warn my students about stuff like that when they're talking about gross stuff online. "I wouldn't go on that site. Things can't be UNSEEN kiddos." I doubt they ever take my advice.
Judging this movie for being too gross or shocking is like being angry at Dumb and Dumber for being stupid. I mean, you have to judge it on its own turf. It's TRYING to be gross. The point was to be gross. You don't go to see Cars and complain it's too CG do you? Or see X-Men and gripe it was too much like a comic book?
