complete noob here just asking a question for future preferences
how do you cast a mask
you make a clay model over a bust yeh?
then what steps are after that.

After you make your clay model, you'll need to build a two-part mold of Ultracal 30 plaster over the model. After the mold hardens, you'll take apart the two halves of the mold, clean the clay and the armature out, then slush-cast some mask latex in the mold. The slush casting process takes about 20 to 40 minutes of dwell time, and then you drain the excess latex out. Once it's dry, then you pull the new mask out of the mold and start painting.
