Ah! That’s the set NKG kindly made for me for my Death Star build! I’m creeping along on that. The blueprints have been agonising, and real world work got in the way. (Although I hope everyone finds them useful.)

I just finished the floor tile plan, which was a bitch. I’m onto the side walls this weekend, I hope.

Part of the problem with the bay, is the matte paintings in both the regular and Special Editions botched the depth of it.
In putting it together, I did a lot of mathematical spacing. I worked out the true depth of the bay based on the spacing of the lights (which aren’t equidistant, but rather are in sets of three with a single light spacer between each set.). I could see from ILM maw entrance photographs where the lights were meant to end up, and where the chevron markings on the floor were meant to go. And there’s a VERY specific mark that the structured floor tiling means everything has to hit.
I didn’t for one second think it was going to line up. To my absolute surprise...it does!

I see that Korben44 was banned, and looks like the end of June.
I liked seeing the stuff he was always working on and just wondering what might have happened, as theres a ton of reasons to be banned for.

Hey there buddy, yeah I sent him a text and he explained what happened, kind of sucks but I guess I don’t blame him. When all is said and done he is our friend and we have to respect what he does
