Mos Eisley Docking Bay 94 1/350 Diorama

Couldn't do it, no way no how...I have my troubles with 1/72, 1/144 would be a bear...but 1/350...1/350!!! incredible dude, just incredible!!:thumbsup

Thanks, brother! I've got my wheels spinning with other ideas for 1/350 dioramas... I was floating the idea of having a series of them with about two to three from each movie and have them set up in chronological order (EP 1 - 9). Each scene would represent a specific moment from a movie and wrap around a room.

That's a very cool idea, I love it. I presume you've only started working out what pieces you can get and what you'll need to scratch. monumental undertaking to be sure, and might take you till you're my age to complete...but then, there will be more movies, so you better have a big room and ready to keep up the builds till you're 80 :lol:thumbsup

That's for sure! I need to buy a home first, with a basement, so I can more readily visualize what it will be... but until then, I'll keep building dioramas...

I'm shelving this one for awhile... Added a few more things like Luke and a couple storm troopers. I need to shift focus to my Bespin build now.

shelf it? I thought this was just about it...what else were you gonna do, it looks awesome! saw the storm troopers back there too :thumbsup

I still have to add more 'sand' but I ran out of Tamiya Buff acrylic paint. More buildings and street vendors on the sides. I was watching ANH the other night and saw how busy the streets were. I want to replicate that feel. More Storm Troopers need to be added... That elephant tusk guy who informs the storm troopers of the droids whereabouts needs to be added... A couple Rodans need to be added behind Jabba... Just stuff like that... But I've been pulled away, mentally, by my Bespin diorama.

hey, are following Invar's ISD build? I rattheled his cage yesterday cause he hadn't posted anything in a couple months. he's working on the super structure now, holy cow! every, and I mean every tiny detail...he's leaving nothing out. it's a sight to see :thumbsup

I totally get that, but it's cool you're gonna do all that other stuff to it, it's gonna look even MORE incredible! You're gettin' wood for the PG though huh...have to admit I'm getting itchy myself, but...I'm gonna finish everything else before I open the box :unsure

That, and the Slave 1 interior I'm working on... That's been on my table for some time so I need to finish it up so I can tackle the exterior of Boba's ship.

Here's a neat video that shows the progress of my first diorama build from paper to nearly finished product:

sweet! Where are you putting all of these wonderful dios of yours? I just bought 2 ATATs (a friend is giving me a 3rd) and 2 of the vehicle speeder and ATST kits to do a hoth dio and have no idea where I'm putting it!

Luckily, this one is very small. So it fits on a shelf. The B-Wing and A-Wing dio's are small, too and fit nicely on my desk in my office. The Cloud City diorama is still being built, but I have no idea where that's going to go! And I have a Hoth dio planned, too...

Hurry on that Hoth Dio so I can stop researching ways to do good snow and just copy yours!
