I like the darker because it’s closer to what I remember from seeing the film. But if your house is like a gloomily lit cantina maybe the lighter makes more sense.

I find the California pickup shots oddly fascinating. Like you can really see the tiny piece of partial arch they built for the shots - they had no need for an entire set. The far walls were just painted plywood flats.
Plus you can see a little tub of Vaseline and a box of Kleenex tissues for the Greedo retake shots - to give that little greasy glisten to Greedo's snout!
