Monster Clay Beginner

Hi

Am trying to get sculpting with monster clay and been looking into making armature with wire and tin/ aluminium foil. But what am wondering is once you finish the sculpt how do you remove the monster clay from the foil? I want it to be safe enough that i can put the clay into the microwave to soften. Also what is the best way to smooth out the clay?
