Mondo Posters & General Poster Art Prints discussion

Yep... They're gorgeous posters. They also had posters for The Thing, Helter Skelter, the remake of Maniac, and one other as well as the Frightmare Weekend event itself.
 
Prints going on sale tomorrow along with the new mondo book. I really want to try and get the Evil Dead II print.

Definitely going for the Evil Dead 2 print. Edmiston absolutely killed it. The colors are so impressive, it doesn't even look like a screenprint.
 
Phew. That was stressful as hell. It took me about 5 solid minutes to get through the checkout process, but I managed to snag an Evil Dead 2 print! Booyahhhhhhhh!
 
Crap, actually, I spoke too soon. About an hour after completing my order, I got a cancellation email from Mondo. Apparently they oversold by a bit. :( Oh well, can't win them all.
 
Oh, that's too bad. In the past couple of months I have read quite a number of instances where buyers have been getting cancellation emails. So even after completing the checkout process, a buyer's order is not assured to be final. Mondo's system is so flawed and frustrating, of course it likely won't improve anytime soon unless the hype goes away and the buying/selling spree stops from flippers.
 
I still wish they'd put some of the copious amounts of money they make towards their servers, it won't help me score a print any easier but it'll make the overall process easier.

I was still in physio for another 10 minutes before the prints went up. Wouldn't of really mattered anyways as you pretty much need to be behind a computer to get anywhere.
 
Yeah, I was disappointed, but it's nothing to cry over. :) After receiving the cancellation email, I emailed Edmiston and asked if he would have any AP copies to sell. He replied back and informed me that he'd have some for sale in a couple of weeks, though he couldn't tell me how many, or where they'd be going for sale. As far as I know, Edmiston sells all of his own stuff through his Etsy page, so yeah, that should be interesting.
 
Would LOVE to get ahold of the Son of Frankenstein print going on sale today, but it'll happen and sell out whilest I'm at work. Anyone able to hook a fellow RPF'r up?
 
i tried for the thing, and it seems like it sold out in 15 seconds after i got the message on my phone :(
 
I really wish they'd upgrade their piece of **** server on the site. I was all prepared, hitting F5 all morning, logged in and I click to add to cart and just loading. I must have wasted a good 45 seconds clicking add to cart because the bloody thing wouldn't work properly. I hit back, made it to the last screen of buying the White Zombie print and it sells out. If I hadn't wasted all that time waiting for the thing print to say "out of stock", I could of snagged the White Zombie.

At this point I'm past the whole people camping on their computers to snag one, that doesn't bother me. It's that they make all this coin and yet they can't put any of it towards making sure their ****ing servers run like molasses when a poster drops.
 
Today was a bust for me as well. These ALWAYS go up for sale when I have to be at work. At least I'm still at 0/0 for a Mondo print.
