Here is one of the new Mondo posters from black friday....got one on the way.
I decided to pass on the Delorean print, did not care for it at all. I've still yet to see a BTTF print from Mondo I was happy with. I held out till the end of the Black Friday drops, and was glad I did. Scored one of Olly Moss' "Bride of Frankenstein" prints! Cream and metallic inks on black paper, can't wait to get it framed!
I also snagged one of the Watchmen prints from the ‘Gang’s All Here’ Exhibit over at the Bottleneck Gallery. Should be here any day!

Also, for anyone interested, here are the other prints that went on sale during Black Friday. It was hard to pass up on the Psycho and Robocop prints, but I was convinced that Mondo had something special saved for last. I still REALLY want a Robocop print, but I was only going to let myself purchase one.

I was hoping and dreading at the same time about a BTTF poster release during Black Friday. But I didn't go for it.
I love BTTF 2 but they need to move beyond the DeLorean. If they didn't get the likeness rights for actors, then there will never be a Stout BTTF poster.
The Bride is a great score aeonpulse, I am baffled how some manage to get these in the matter of 2 minutes when so many faced problems with the site during that last drop.

I was actually pretty lucky, which is usually the case. I was at the Mondo site and logged in when the Bride print dropped, instantly added it to my cart and proceeded to check-out. The site hung at "calculating shipping" for a full 60 seconds before letting me finalize my order, I was certain I was going to get the "this item is no longer available" page at any second. Miraculously, the order completed. I was quite surprised, and delighted.
And yeah, I'm still right there with you on the BTTF prints, as we've discussed before. I'd love to see Stout or Ansin tackle a BTTF print, but without the rights, we'll continue to get Delorean prints. Didn't you mention something about the rights being granted for a new line of toys? Surely Mondo will eventually be able to obtain them?

Yep Hot Toys got it, so Mondo probably got it as well and are saving it for a Stout or Ansin print.

I just wish Mondo would change up things on their site. They make a TON of money off of prints, I think they can afford to upgrade their servers. I'd also like it if they set it up like ticketmaster where if you get a print in your shopping cart, you have a couple minutes to pay for it, if you don't then it goes back up.
I can't count the number of times I've made it to the last to second last screen and have it say "oh hey, someone else got your print! Go **** yourself customer!!"

Upgrading their servers wouldn't make getting their prints any easier. A faster server would only mean you'd see that "out of stock" message a bit sooner than you already do. When you have over 15,000 people going for a print that has an edition of 400 to 700, servers aren't the issue. The demand is.
And giving customers a few minutes to pay for a print once its been added to their cart wouldn't help either. In fact, this would probably cause more of the prints to go to the flippers, seeing as they could log in with several different accounts, all linked to different P.O. boxes, add the prints to their multiple accounts, and take their sweet time completing the check-out. Prints would just end up selling out in 5 seconds, instead of 60.
Mondo's system works, they're just too damn popular now adays. I hardly miss a drop that I really want, you just have to be prepared. The only other option that would be fair would be a lottery, like Tyler Stout does. But again, when you have thousands of people going after a print with a small edition, your chances of being picked are slim.
Really though, it doesn't matter how Mondo handles their sales. The demand is always going to be too great, and no matter how they handle the sales, they're never going to be able to satisfy everyone.

I nabbed the Psycho print, but I'd have really liked that Bride of Frankenstein.
wasn't too excited about the prints on black friday. I don't know what exactly i was hoping for just none of what dropped. Personally I wasn't a huge fan of the moss bride. What i really wanted was that AMAZING keving tong bride print. That thing is gorgeous. Of course after i decided to pass a dude on the fb page wanted to trade his tong for the moss. bummer.

I also like to check Posterocalypse they are usually up to date on poster drops and announcements and its not just mondo that they post about.
Kevin Tong's Bride print is indeed amazing, but there's just something I personally don't like about it, something about the art style. I find that a bit strange considering I almost always love Tong's work. I do like the colors though. Then again, I also really like the more classic approach of the Moss print. Either way, it is awesome. But as far as Bride prints go, I'm still kicking myself for passing on Martin Ansin's Bride print from a few years ago. THAT thing is a work of beauty, the greatest of all the Bride prints, in my opinion.

scored a beetlejuice for the wife. I heard there was a jurassic park print as well at the gallery opening. Did anyone else score anything?
