Slightly off the beaten path, yes...

But I need to mold a dollop of shaving cream.

Tried freezing one to then do an alginate mold, but over night, it has not frozen...

So...

Short of sculpting, any ideas?

I know bakers use stiff baking grease to emulate whipped cream on cakes for display, maybe something like that ?

Or just use one of these, and don't forget to print in white :)

Use foam.

I made some Wolverine mask out of foam.

The lighter it is,the more floppy

Buy some white pigment

You may be able to simulate the texture and foam like quality of shaving cream with foam latex.

If you're moulding it, then I'd think you could squirt a few dollops of some kind of expanding construction foam that sets hard. Select the best ones to clear-coat before moulding.

Otherwise my first thought was: meringue.
I thought meringue also...easy to do/cook. Saying that, I made a paper weight project a few years ago; the subject was a melting ice cream cone.
I used plasticine covered in white resin. You could use that trick, because it really works well.;) I could post a pic later today.

Good idea on the construction foam...
