Mold Help: Making super cheap "scrap molds"

Is there a way I can make any kind of super cheap, quick mold?
I looking at molding this piece:

It's a simple 90 degree piece of aluminum--about 13" long--with apoxie sculpt inset to make it curved.

I need four of these total, so instead of remaking the piece three more times, I thought I'd try my hand at molding and casting.
The local Hobby Lobby has Alumilite starter kits, but it's not enough rubber to cover the subject...

I could always break down and buy a Smooth-On starter kit (which I'll prolly end up having to do), but the shipping costs are pretty sharp...and being the cheap-ass I am...

Is there any kind of method to make a quick and easy mold to only pull a few casts, then toss?

I know hot glue can be used sometimes and thought I'd give it a try... but the glue all stuck to itself and never fully melted to a pour-able consistency...

(Epic fail...)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Have you tried looking at pieces of wooden crown molding at a hardware store. I'd swear you could get an 8 foot piece of something just like that in wood for about $5.

Well, I'm trying the one off the taxidermy site.
I actually looked at Homie D to see if I could find that wooden crown molding and I couldn't find any in the size I needed....
Thanks for the input guys.

Well, dunno how this will go...
I'm a little worried cause no one said anything about any fumes. As I mixed the silicone with the acrylic it put off a potent smell which actually burned my nose as I accidentally inhaled. Hope this doesn't kill me...ha
This might need a mother mold to keep the silicone from being too...floppy, haha. Any suggestions? Plaster? Or great stuff??

Again, thanks guys!
