Yes sir, just peachy! I hope all y'all are good too? I apologize for the gap. Hunkering down at the moment, I live at the Gulf of Mexico just above Morgan City/Houma Louisiana, so we might get windy.
My lack of posting is completely explainable. I'm an old game geek too and Steam has their summer sale going on. DOOM 2016 and Borderlands GOTY enhanced edition was cheap. I may be tardy from model building but I am DEFINITELY in the demon killin' bidness! And brother, bidness is'a BOOMIN'. I been wadin' through so much blood and guts my boots is sticky!

Just in case I get blowed away and never able to let y'all know, I dug through the stash a couple weeks ago (when I said I was) and THINK I've found some good ladder type dealy-o's. Mr. Joseph Brown sent me to look for cranes from ships. I did and that looks exactly right. I dug out about 12 different kits of various sizes and the one I've ended up trying is from the 1/700 TAMIYA Waterline Scharnhorst or Gneisenau.
If this storm don't do me in, I'll show some of that here shortly. Y'all stay glued to your screens!

I agree Mr. publiusr! All our planes are probably tied up at the moment though.
Maybe not some firefighting planes? All the old flying museum propeller planes…they can fly above the chop…and drop. As much as love the Pineapple vets trying to get folks back…this is more doable. Dry ice cheap. Start above the eye and drop in a line due East to make a wall of rain to choke off the spiral inflow.

Here's my update. 10-2-2021.
No body got hurt!!!
There wasn't anything fun about this one for me AT ALL though. Tree in the house was the closest we came to getting hurt because it hit my Wife! Big bruise on her shoulder, but since it went ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR and knocked her outta the way to get there, a bruise instead of a smashed skull, we'll take. That got our attention for several hours because of the two huge holes it ripped in the roof and the torrential water pouring in through those. Of course ALL the shingles and parts of the roof started leaving which meant water starting showing up dripping in every room and running down walls. I'm here to tell y'all, you ain't lived until you start running around, in the pitch dark, during a hurricane, trying to see where you need to place the next bucket. Good times right there and we was a havin' 'em! I had a large number of trees in the yard, but now I got about 4 left. Fencing gone in a bunch of places and we just got internet and phone service back 30 minutes ago. Still no cable... like that matters. Electricity came back for us last week which helped a great deal.
I really appreciate the concern JPH, as I said. Ain't got much left over here and kind words were very nice to see first thing when I got here a minute ago. We got alot to do over here, so my updates might be sparse.
Please forgive me for that.

No sir, I don't. I've heard of such things but actually don't know what they are, but I'm pretty old school. You've seen my modeling. In fact, so old school, me and then missus don't even own a cell phone. so until about two hours ago, we've been unable to contact anyone about any of this except through a friend who has all that new fangled stuff. He's been letting us know about important messages and such. It ain't gone be fun, don't get me wrong, but we'll figure some way to get back to where we was, it might just take a minute or two.
Yes sir! We were standing there looking out a back window when WHAM!!!! I tree joined us! I gotta say, it gets real quick! Everything changes INSTANTLY. It happens so quick you don't even know what just happened for a few seconds. Then. "Oh my goodness baby..we in trouble".
Funny thing about that too. Ok, so we installed a new waterfall feature that looks kinda nice, right? Once it's there for about two hours and the novelty wears off, it's causing such a problem with the water inside the house, you think, I'll just grab this piece of crap, shove it off the roof so I can patch these holes a little bit and stop some of this crap... during 110 MPH winds, right?
Nope. You ain't. It's really a rude awakening when you ain't NEARLY as strong as you thought you was. That thing didn't budge and I swear, I was puttin' out. I don't think the Wife was though, she kept complaining about that arm.
