Well I'm gonna tackle the studio scale liberator after the narc and turbo laser. I need a huge Plastruct shopping list for that one though. Just about the whole thing is Plastruct bits.
Wait for it...allegedly Round 2 is starting with the Sulaco in 1/1000 scale. This has probably been suggested before, but I want a company like Revell to start producing the ships from the Alien films: especially Prometheus, Nostromo, and the Betty, in plastic at a decent size and price.
I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened already: it's not exactly niche subject matter by SF standards. A new Aliens videogame was released just recently. These kits would sell.
Airfix did produce two--"Welcome Aboard" with the TARDIS and figures of the tenth Doctor (David Tennant) and Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman), and a "Daleks in Manhattan" diorama--but they were apparently limited releases and are getting harder to find for reasonable prices, and so far Airfix hasn't produced any others....A series of classic Dr Who kits would have been good too, consoles, daleks, tardis, etc
For a change, I had one of those "right place at the right time" moments a couple of years ago. I was perusing evilBay and a young woman was selling one for a couple of dollars less than what the kit originally sold for (including shipping from the U.K. to the U.S.). She had received it as a gift, and didn't want it after she opened it and found out it had to be assembled and painted. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have one either.I wanted that Tardis one sooooooooo bad!! Could never find it locally and all the online resources wanted way too much for them!
