Models we'd like to have seen made

Well as soon as i finsh the X plane im starting on that. Just need to decide on size.

Al

Since it seems like Mamas has Firefox covered in 1/24, could you be talked into tackling the plane from Stealth instead, mebbe? Far as I know the one Raytheon was doing remains on hold.

Just looked at those... can't wait for those to come out.

Here's a new one... how about the flying aircraft carrier from Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow?

Custom decals are easy to make. For anyone that wants to know, get some clear gloss spray paint laquer. Spray a thin layer of it on a sheet of gloss photo paper. Then, design your decal in photoshop, print it up on any printer (test the print first to make sure it's gonna be the right size and adjust size accordingly, making sure your printer settings are set to photo best high quality). When you have a good print, spray over the printed sheet with the gloss clear coat again. Let it dry completely. Viola... instant decal. Cut it, wet it, soak it, slide it off. Use some distilled white vinegar painted on the surface of the model before applying and it will suck the decal into all the curves. The only thing is doesn't do is print up in white... but yo ucan fix that by using white paint in the sections of the decal you want white! It's not that hard. May have to do a tutorial on it someday!

I am definitely going to have to give that a try ... thanks!

Continuing that trend how about Cloudbase from Captain Scarlet.

(I'm pretty sure I had a toy of it as a kid.)

Or the Valiant from Doctor Who:

We could probably get a whole fleet of airbourne aircraft carriers.

Mind there is a pretty nifty paper model out but I'd love a nice plastic kit of the Star Car from The Last Starfighter. I've spoken with Allen Ury at Fantastic Plastic as to the fanbase regarding the vehicle so at least it's on his 'aware' list for the moment.

And speaking of cars, why not a nice plastic kit of industrial designer Syd Mead's concept limo Sentinel 400 ? Yes I know Hot Wheels did a 1/64 die-cast but something bigger to have a fully detailed interior would be very welcome.

And for sake of saying, why not a series of vehicles from Mr. Mead's books, he did do many lesser known designs for Blade Runner than just Decker's car and the Spinner.

Something I always wanted was like a 1/6 or 1/10 scale probe droid. I was always wondering why they didn't make a good size kit of that! Would have been very cool.

Heck, I'd give my left hex for the poster.

I've noticed Fantastic Plastic is offering the Scorpion gunship, Samson transport, Dragon assault ship and the Valkyrie shuttle from Avatar.
Fantastic Plastic - Science Fiction - 2000s

I would have to say my personal favorite would be an ACCURATE Discovery 1 and the space station in large scale from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Scott (Captain Cardboard) Alexander keeps teasing us over at his Atomic City models site. I managed to acquire one of his one man pod models from the same movie, and it's awesome.

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this... but I've been watching Tron: Legacy the last few nights. I would like to see every vehicle from "The Grid"... :)

I can't remember if i posted before or not but how about the Ark from the Transformers 80s cartoon and comics? A set of scaled ICMB missiles for cold war buffs. I think it was Revel back in the 80s who put one out but it's impossible to find now. An accurate Slim Pickens riding the bomb from Dr Strangelove since the only one i've found isn't remotely accurate to the bomb they used or him.
