Models we'd like to have seen made

So nothing has changed there, then. :lol

Gag...gotta ask, do you get a lot of queries about your nick? I want to know...and I SO DO NOT want to know. :lol

By my "nick" i'm assuming this is Auzzie slang for my nickname, or user name correct?

Its not Austin Powers related.

Thanks Evilpet (nice avitar). I have three of those God-awful kits ( one of which you see being butchered one my thread. I should have been clearer...I am looking forward to getting Cygnus in 1/700 scale when PrimitiveDave and Nwerke success fully kill off this engineer's nightmare. Thanks for the headsup on the Narn cruiser, But I am firmly wedged into all things Cygnus. (a resin kit...I am resin kits worst nightmare...Arvey models thread comming soon). I'll check into it ...before I get back into Yamato mode.

I think that would have been cool! That little station wasn't worth it! I think that the station should be at least 18 inches long. Not what was it... 6 inchs?

Well I'm gonna tackle the studio scale liberator after the narc and turbo laser. I need a huge Plastruct shopping list for that one though. Just about the whole thing is Plastruct bits.

I just thought of a couple of new models that I'd love to see made into kits...

The Spider Robot, Tank, and the Loveless in Wheelchair from the Will Smith version of Wild Wild West... I really loved the look of that big spider bot!

How about the Dr. Evil Submarine from Austin Powers, or even the satellite... that would be cool!

This has probably been suggested before, but I want a company like Revell to start producing the ships from the Alien films: especially Prometheus, Nostromo, and the Betty, in plastic at a decent size and price.
I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened already: it's not exactly niche subject matter by SF standards. A new Aliens videogame was released just recently. These kits would sell.

The Outrider from Shadows of the Empire. I can't believe the only kit they produced from that was Xizor's Virago.

Are you referring to the Blakes 7 Liberator? That's a build I would definitely watch. If you have a definite list of parts used for the Liberator, I'd love to see it.

As for ships I'd love to see, I' d say most of the Babylon 5 stuff - the B5 Station and star fury were my least fave designs, and those are the kits they made. Sigh.

I'd love a proper sized Minbari war cruiser, just for the challenge of painting that sucker. The Narn cruiser also rocks.

B5 had some great ships, and ( except for the Earth stuff) they stayed away from that "institutional grey" that plagues so many space ship designs. B5 ships always looked so distinctive. purple Centari vessels, blue minbari ships, green and rust narn ships, yellow with blue trim Vorlon stuff. Great visual designs.

I'd like to see the Ark and Nemesis from the Transformers comic, 80s cartoon, and newer videogames made.

Wait for it...allegedly Round 2 is starting with the Sulaco in 1/1000 scale.

The Liberator from Blake's 7 would have been a nice one to have

A series of classic Dr Who kits would have been good too, consoles, daleks, tardis, etc

Airfix did produce two--"Welcome Aboard" with the TARDIS and figures of the tenth Doctor (David Tennant) and Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman), and a "Daleks in Manhattan" diorama--but they were apparently limited releases and are getting harder to find for reasonable prices, and so far Airfix hasn't produced any others.

Yeah I did see them when they were out, they spent months sitting on the ends of the isles at less than half price. I never wanted them. I Just don't like how big the new tardis is :p

I wanted that Tardis one sooooooooo bad!! Could never find it locally and all the online resources wanted way too much for them!

For a change, I had one of those "right place at the right time" moments a couple of years ago. I was perusing evilBay and a young woman was selling one for a couple of dollars less than what the kit originally sold for (including shipping from the U.K. to the U.S.). She had received it as a gift, and didn't want it after she opened it and found out it had to be assembled and painted. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have one either.
