Modded Rubies ANH DDC Defender (Leia's) blaster

I'll send you a picture when I get home, but when you cut off the forebarrel, you'll see what I mean. It's mostly 3/8" inner diameter inside the barrel, but there's some occluding inside the sight portion. Carefully drill that out with a 3/8" drill bit to even it up. Do you want me to whip up a forebarrel for you like what I showed above? Get a 3/8" brass tube at your end and you'd just be able to slip the assembly on and do up the Tomtit part and muzzle with a minimum of fuss...

yes, that would be so great.

Just the opposite of bored, sadly. -_- Right now my focus is on getting a costume finished in time for Dragon*Con. I may get to priming before the end of the month...

And I'm in the Seattle area. :)

I hear you...

I'm in SoCal but love visiting any of the cities and towns on the Salish Sea, the ones starting with "V" being some favorites!

I'm starting on this soon... updates on your progress would be great... I'd like to see how you're fitting it all together!

I'm hoping to finish the last of the work needed for mine once the weather is consistently warm enough here I won't have to worry about bad paint reactions. I've gotten a decent amount of painting and fiberglasing prep done over the fall and winter, when it's too cold and wet to do anything outside, and I'm itching to blast out as much of it as I can in a couple days of consistent good weather. #soimpatient

I don't fail to appreciate SoCal weather for those reasons. My gun is primered and seams filled with my favorite filler (Elmer's Wood filler!). I'm not going as far as uyou guys though. Stock barrel, stock muzzle, etc. I may replace the coil though.

I went out in search of a metal tube to replace the barrel, but every thing I've found is to small or big. With the brass tubing your using, what are the dimensions of the one that's the closest match to the barrel... Gotta find one piece.

Thanks!

K&S Engineering. Should be a rack of their brass tubing (and other stuff) at your closest Ace Hardware or hobby shop. Not sure what the Canadian version would be... I know you can order it right off the internets, though. And I used 9/16" for the barrel. Which would probably be why you were having trouble -- more common would be 1/2" or 5/8".
