I've never been a gamer but these Warhammer builds are so cool. I get tempted every time. Nice work dude.

Hey Mockle! I'm following your build closely! Looking great so far! I'm building a Space Marine also! I started with the feet also and am awaiting the arrival of my stilts. I have one boot cut out! I had to modify things by piecing some of the parts together with hot glue because they were so large.

Where did you source your foam from and what type is it? I don't want to order a bunch of the wrong stuff ( a direct link would be awesome). Did the carpet cutter work well for you in cutting the foam at 45degrees? I found a decent one at HD and am thinking about picking it up. My grinding wheel produces a decent angle, but is prone to damaging the part.

Other than some RenFair armor, this is the first real foam project I've done! Once the first boot is done, I'll be posting pics.

All hail Hasenbrau! I'm using his excellent templates!

thanks!

Thanks I got the foam here. http://www.foambymail.com/ I ordered (6) 1/2" thick sheets of foam. They measured 72"x48". Cross Linked Polyethylene But didn't do the helmet. there is enough left for mistakes or just want to and here and there.. the carpet knife worked very well just get plenty of blade they dull fast.. glue slow I found easier to glue small sections at a time large areas can take to long. I use a battery operated glue gun gets so hot if its in its prime will burn the living day lights out of you...

Re: Templar 40K Space Marine pre build setup

Awesome! It looks as if you have fans built into the backpack.. is that what I'm seeing? :) I thought about installing fans as well, just wasn't sure where. That's a great idea!

Re: Templar 40K Space Marine 7' Full Size WIP

I was never into the Warhammer universe, books or games but it always excites me to see these builds because they're such a massive undertaking. Usually I see people with these costumes that require handlers because they're so cumbersome haha. Keep up the good work
