MMPR Green Ranger Costume

I have always wanted to make a Green Ranger costume and now that I have been making costumes for awhile I feel that I have the skills to get at least a passable one done.

I first began by getting the Legacy Red Ranger helmet. This was the only helmet that I could Find that fit my head and I presented a new challenge for me. I began by using bondo:

I quickly realized that bondo wasn't working how I wanted it too. I did some research and found this stuff called epoxy sculpt. So I started to use that:

Once I got the basic shape down I began the process of sanding and filling:

Then I got it to a spot I think is good enough and painted and sealed it. I realize the teeth on the Green Ranger Helmet or different but this is good enough and I am hoping a legacy green ranger helmet comes out one day:

Now on to the shield, I made a few attempts at this and wound up with one that was way to big a not proportioned well. I finally got it to the shape and size I felt was right:

I was content to leave it like that but decided to add the ridges to it and I am extremely happy with the results:

Now to paint and seal it.

Awesome progress. I'll working on one myself as well as maybe a white ranger. Where did you get your gloves from? I've been looking but haven't really found ones that I like and I know will fit

I tell everyone looking for proper, good quality Ranger/Sentai gloves to order from Cacazan. A user on Rangerboard found them years. I ordered a pair for my small XS hands and they fit perfectly.

what she said, actually they are the same company who provides the gloves used in the toei show. Buzz/ Henshin vault a very popular vendor actually resold these a while back when he found out its what they used. use google chrome to translate the page to English and opt for the longer gauntlet style as they keep tucked under the forearm cuffs better then the short.

Was there a specific foam template you used for the shield? The Batman costume I'm working on has a similar looking shield, looking for ideas.

For my shield I did not use a template, I kind of just eyeballed it from reference pictures.
