Had to work on some other things tonight so all I got done was painting the name on the back of the pack using the stencle I made last night, came out way better than I thought it would.
Alright all done with all the details, besides Star Wars my son is a big Mario fan so I decided to add a little battle group insignia.
Also figured out how to do the eyes, I used the little foam sports balls on last years Transformers costume as hubcaps.
I cut them and painted them black tonight, the next update will have all the finished parts before weathering!
And here we go, a fully painted battle droid. Now just some weathering to do. Unfortunately when I opened my jar of silver rub and buff to start adding in scrapes it was rock hard.
Got all the metal scrapes in and added all the rust around some of the scrapes. Here are 2 of the pieces. Still need to add mud and grease colors, along with a few stategicly placed blaster burns.
He to wip up a pair of binoculars last night as the blaster can't go to school, they probably should have been shorter but I had already set the length by the time I measured how far apart they needed to be. If I had a week I would fix this but I only have 1 more day!
Re: MMHNC's 2015 Halloween Costume Contest Entry Complete Star Wars Battle Droid Hall
So Friday we had a partial dry run at school, who ever helped him get it on didn't exactly understand how my strapping worked, they kind of over did it and cracked the paint in the shoulder area, it kid of looks like wathering and everything else was repairable.
Then yesterday was the big day, we had a little photo shoot planed for earlier in the day but we got rained out so hopefully today the rain holds off and we can get some better pictures. But here we go, 100% finished and ready for battle
This battle droid ended up like most battle droids end up after a battle, in pieces on the ground!
Hopefully we will have some more pictures to post tonight.
Well I finaly got around to processing the pictures we took a couple of weekends ago at the local park, it has this large grassy hill that I thought would make a great backdrop.
Wait what's that?
Oh no a Jedi, not again!
