MIPRESIDENTE on Thingiverse

Has anyone else had problems with this user over on Thingiverse? Dude posted my model without asking permission or Gimpee's permission since it is his original model I converted. Even before posting my model, I asked permission from Gimpee. It kinda ticks me off that he's scamming me out of posting it, my original goal today was to post a bunch of my models since I'm nearing completion of the 43.

yup! this guy posted my mk3 helmet without even as much of an inkling of a mention, and he called it a mk7, which was probably worse....

some of "his" models aren't even printable, what a moron.

Yeah, that guy has been doing this for a while. He posts pepakura models on thingiverse without asking for permission from the authors. He can't even bother to credit the original author, either.

I called him on it and told him to take it down. I also reported it to thingiverse and it was down in less than 24 hours. It just irritated me because it took me forever to learn the skills to 3d model and conversion from pep files.

It's a shame that there is no way to figure out who they are on the forum so they can be blocked. His posts on thingiverse lead me to this website when someone commented on him taking the files and posting them without crediting.

I do not mean to stoke the fire I was someone who found the helmet on thingiverse and saw that his post did link to devildog12's build post here so I figured he had permission.

Hi, im Jhon or MIPRESIDENTE on thingiverse,im from Venezuela, im really sorry about this! im trying to share the models!!! when i started to share i not placed the authors names cause I had no idea that passed such problems, but now im trying to share and give the credit to the authors!! im 17 years old and I am somewhat inexperienced, just tell wich models do you want i delete and i will delete!!
i dont want to have problems with the members of the forum!
