Scaled to 280mm height and the width is too tight to put fibreglass and still get my head inside, I have a fat head lol.

do you put it together in a certain order, front to back, back to front, top to bottom??
do you have any pics of the back, and maybe the inside. the back and top of the head is where my went downhill fast..![]()
thanks for the pics man, gives me something to compare it too. and thanks for saying it didn't go downhill, but i wasn't happy with it. my fault i was experimenting with 3 different types of cardboard to see how they acted to being bent and curved.And your helmet definitely didn't go down hill, I think you just forgot to put in these pieces on the sides!

@SOUTHPAW
Looking GOOD man, it makes me want to build it too, I'm itching to build something, but don't know what ahas
(Have you ever looked into making the "Southpaw" Mark btw?)
Very clean work man! I'm very eager to see a finished product of this. However, I couldn't help but notice you have the eyebrow ridge attached upside down! Haha Just be sure to check for that if you scale up the file and make a new one![]()
Here is my finished Helmet. Pained it with the Mk 30 Paintjob.
So... I've been a bit lazy about posting my progress, but I have just about finished building my first helmet. I made some mistakes with some of the angle cuts (see photos), so this is going to be my test helmet. After I put in the last couple pieces, I am going to try out some of the Smooth-on Epsilon stuff I have. I think I am going to build one entire suit first out of foam (and possibly using that Epsilon stuff). Then I will build a test harness, convert that first foam suit to fit the harness, then after all that build the final harness/suit.
So I started a thread for my Mark 31:
