Metal powders would probably be what you're after. You can usually get various types depending on what finish you're after.I've used aluminium, tin and bronze powders before.
You'll find the more metal you have in the resin the more it polishes up like metal but it will also reduce the strength of the resin so for larger items a thin coat of resin/metal backed up with regular fibreglass for strength works well. This is a pic of aluminium filled resin with about a 2:1 Al to resin ratio by weight.
Not sure about blueing, you may need a little experimentation for that.
cheers Reactor drone. Yeah metal powder resin gives pretty good results. I've decided to scrap the filler idea and find ways to cast actual pewter metal into the areas I need to fill in order to get the right consistancy for the surfaces.
Has anyone actually casted pewter metal onto hardened pewter metal parts? so say you needed to fill a hole or add more metal to something etc. Or would it not stick to the existing parts?
