Cut my model making teeth doing spin casting of pewter and lead gift items and WWll, WWl waterline ship models. Created some of the brass ship models as well. ( looong time ago)

That's right since you're are in the "Epic" section also It's a "Rare Oxygen" section of the RPF (or Propsummit) where few have achieved incredible workmanship worthy of a Pro-Job!

One note on the metal work: Do the fine sanding on the receiver in one direction so it looks machined. The little angular scratches detract from the illusion of a non-machined part. Polishing the metal with "machining marks" makes it look more real. After that, the weathering will be more convincing.

Very nice tip! I had never thought about sanding angles for some of my metal finishing. Also DaveChaos, you are doing some very clean work with the pulls from your molds! Serious props!!!
