Men in Black 3- 2012 Standard Issue (CANCELED)

Re: Men in Black 3 - 2012 Standard Issue

Could you clarify this? What happens if you still have 700 of these after July 8th? Or 550 after Comic Con? Can you still pre-order up to its release this winter?

Just confused as I've never heard of any prop or collectibles company closing pre-orders when there are still product left over. How do you propose moving them if you don't allow pre-orders after July 8th? Are we forced to just buy them at release then?

We are actually following suit with other replica companies, and adjusting the edition size down to the number we have pre-sold if it is less than 1000. The cut off is July 8, unless we decide to extend it.

That is the date we have to order the parts we need from our manufacturer so that we can move on to working on the next release.

We'll keep everyone up to date if we adjust the cut-off, but as of now, it's July 8.

Re: Men in Black 3 - 2012 Standard Issue

Soooooo, do you have a mailing list / newsletter I can sign up to, or will you just be making announcements in this thread ?

Re: Men in Black 3 - 2012 Standard Issue

Sorry, Alan - I had meant to respond to your question earlier but it slipped my mind. If you buy a replica, you are added to the email list ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!

I'm kidding of course, but that currently IS the fastest way. :lol

We're working on one, so you won't have to keep checking the forums, but we will be posting updates on the RPF as well.

And with my first purchase I get a $599 discount, right ?

:lol

Please do make an announcement when it is ready to subscribe to :) :thumbsup

Re: Men in Black 3 - 2012 Standard Issue

Pre-orders before July 8th (via the Studio Art and Technology website only) will be shipped with a complimentary SAT t-shirt! Design TBD (of course). :)

If you pre-ordered via Efx before TODAY (May 31) you will also recieve a t-shirt.

Yay! glad I put my order in via the eFx website last night.

Now, I didn't receive an email confirmation regarding my order (although the purchase is listed on my eFx account page). Will you guys let us know that you received the info from eFx or do we have to open a new account on your website once it's functional?

Re: Men in Black 3 - 2012 Standard Issue

We do tours of the facility in Los Angeles. They have to be arranged in advance and obviously there are no photos allowed. I'm not sure what the criteria for a tour is though. I can ask that question if you'd like.

We are working on adding a payment plan although currently, there isn't an option for that on our non-working site. LOL.
Where are you located at in LA...I'm in the Los angeles/Glendale area

We are about 20 minutes from Glendale. We will send out response emails once we get totals from eFX.

UK Ordering:
I will find out. eFX is our distributor. I'll find out who the your local distributor is.

The Standard Issue will ship with the ambient blue lighting and a trigger actuated white muzzle flash.

We explored adding sounds, but to have them the quality we wanted would have caused delays and increased the price, so it was decided to offer them as we made them for the film. It is a true replica of what was used on set.

Thanks for clarifying that is a potential game changer. Normally it's pretty tough to sell out 1000 of anything as expensive as 600 dollars unless it is a huge license like Star Wars or Dark Knight. But if you are planning on stopping early then this piece could be very limited maybe less than 500 or even lower. Any plans to eventually announce actual numbers produced for those of us who bought it and want some idea of how truly limited this piece is?

Thanks!

Since they're working closely with efx, they're most likely following efx's limited edition model. What efx did was announce the actual edition size after the sales deadline. Like if they had a maximum edition size of 1500, but only 872 were presold, the actual edition size would actually be 872, which would be announced soon after the order deadline and listed on the plaque.

Correct me if I'm wrong, SAT.

We will post when we decide about the final cut off date. We will purchase additional replicas as well but those will be gifts for producers, actors, etc. They will be part of the same numbering sequence. World wide and production gifts included, we will be upward of 700.

Thanks for being patient as we sort through all of this. Here's an update...

LAYAWAY PLAN:
We will be offering a 4 payment layaway plan. It will require a $100 USD deposit and 3 additional payments. We will alter the shopping page to offer that option. If the option did not exist when you made your deposit and you would like to take advantage of the layaway plan, we will make that change for you manually.

I'm interested in just getting the Time Jump Device. Will you have this layaway option when this item comes out. Or just for the kit itself

Can you please add sound fx to these and future props.. Sounds and interactiveness makes a huge difference.. And its easier to swallow at $600 :D
