Hey everyone,
Just as the title says, Im currently trying to put together a group to build up a Wall-E robot. First things first, I have no experience whatsoever in robotics, but Im ready and willing to learn as much as I can to help put this project together.
Im seeking help of anyone who has any mechanical engineering experience to lend suggestions and ideas for putting together certain functions and aspects. All I know, is that I at least want to put a good set of instructions and blue prints as a guide, if the full goal cannot be realized.
One of the problem areas that I am trying to plan out is the functional arms, that work just in the same manner as the movie. Sliding up and down the "L" track, arm acuaters that extend, rotating wrist w/ movable digits.
Im starting with just the basic function of moving the arms for the "L" track, and move on from that. Will put together a sketch or two...
