As I said on the RPB, I am not convinced.

They're just copies of an early TE helmet - they've even got the little 'holes' in the teardrop areas on the faceplate.
At one point he tried to get a TIE pilot helmet from my friend Ian.
Fortunately we spotted it before the end of the auction, I think he'd be claiming he had an original TIE helmet too if we hadn't sussed who was bidding...

Edit I just noticed on the thread on the RPB that the dimples in the tear area were spotted by The Dark Side also.
I've been told recently that these were 'tells' put there by TE.

All his posts resemble another guy here who likes to hide the truth in a cloak of falsehoods.

All that talk about the old rich guy... :lol

There was something 'interesting' going on over the sandtrooper forum a while back.

A member here, who used to be very active in stormtrooper threads, SDS threads and also when

AnsonJames showed his awesome Tie pilot helmet for the first time, sold RPF member Clutch a Meatstock

helmet saying it was a TE helmet.

I wonder if.......

Do you have any pics of your helmet clutch,I'd like to try identifying it.
[/b]

Here it is Paul (hope you don't mind Clutch).

Looks like a MS to me, softer frown etc.

Why don't people discuss it on the RPB instead of here, time and money goes into the RPB. We suffer from lurkers, get over there and start posting on the thread.

110% Sure that this helmet is a Meatsock...

If this helmet was sold as a TE you were completely and utterly conned.

Are you sure its not a TE? It has the same ear screws and mic tip screens as an old TE.

Keith.

He probably copied TE's mic tips too.
Just looks completely meatsocky to me - look at the traps...

TE told me who made the helmet. It is not a meatsock. I'll print what he said if he allows me.

So let's drop it. I never asked to be drug into this.

Frankly, discussion about authenticity is quickly seen as "uncivilized" and ends prematurely.

:rolleyes

Frankly, discussion about authenticity etc is more than welcome at the RPB, as it is at many other forums...that's the idea is it not?

B/S and "uncivilized" behaviour however is not, nor should it be. That is how the board's founder wanted it and that is exactly how it will be.

If you can't discuss "authenticity" in a "civilized" manner, that's probably a reason why we don't see you post much?

Cheers, Gord.

Have to agree Gord.

I just thought people would be interested, so I shared the information - which is surely what these forums are about. :rolleyes

The slightest chance of another ANH helmet surfacing got me excited.

Hey kids.
Can't we all just be friends?

If TE says it's not a Meatsock then it's not. I apologise and stand corrected.
Apparently it's not a TE helmet either.
It still really does look like a Meatsock helmet to me - especially around the traps and mouth,

Maybe it's the same type of helmet Meatsock used for his bucks...

Totally agree with you there Gord, JJ, how wrong you are, hot topics like The SDS vrs Lucasfilm, Move along and Stop that ship helmet threads were not locked. I just wish people would discuss things and leave their egos at the door. As too many discussions become uncivilized and it just taints the hobby.
