Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 6-13)(Pic Heavy)

This is just beyond awesome! Your fist post was a blast! Molding a gate?!?!? hahahah, that's genius man! Way to go!

Actually I didnt skip the texture. You are probably referencing some of the WIP pics in this thread of my print, but I added it later on. It just isn't as bold on the actual print as it is on the file. Here is a close up of my file-

Ah, I see. Cool. Never saw those pictures. That's great attention and detailed work. How about the webbing. are you just using the pattern as a guide since you apply puff paint on top? What I mean is, why isn't there red and black thick webbing?

thanks!

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 6-13)(Pic Heavy)

Looks pretty good to me man. Not gonna get much closer if it's just for a 3d model

Thanks. Yeah, probably overkill, but I think it has to be done to make it look genuine. I'm sure MCL34N agrees :cool

Btw MCL34N, how large is that photoshop document of yours? I'm guessing close to 1 GB?

OMGosh! Your work is amazing (yes pun intended.) I am new here and just signed up as I felt the need to say how amazing this all is. Oh and if you ever make any more of these and I have the money I would love to have one, lol. ;)
Seriously though these are amazing! I am so jealous of the people who have these suits. Great, great, great job MCL34N!

K.

Wow... as a long time Spiderman costumer, Marvel actor, and stunt performer (15 + years), I have to say this costume and your effort are absolutely amazing!! Fantastic Job. I have to admit I am still a fan of the Raimi suit above others, I just hated the raised webbing as it would also pop off or break when doing flips and such. I usually stuck with a screen printed suit that gave the appearance of the raised webs. But this suit here is just awesome, and appears to be much more practical. After my ankle surgery, I started trying to build more mass to fit the Captain America role, .. still a long way to go, but if I ever go back to a spidey suit, your's is a must have item. Congrats again on such beautiful piece of artwork.

I can only reiterate what everyone else here has already said about this movie quality costume.
Having seen lots of amazing and highly detailed spiderman replicas around the net, i have to say that this one leaves all others in its shadow....simply sublime.

Countless hours have sure been returned ten fold in the exquisite detail displayed here, my hat is certainly off to you sir:thumbsup

So, I've been stalking this thread for the past week and a half, weeping in the corner of my room over the sheer beauty of the costume and it's progress. I bow in your awesomeness MCL34N! Man, I'd love to see this in person at a con! Please tell me you're showing off this beauty at SDCC! Also, what that guy on twitter is doing is really very horrible, it would just devastate me to see someone else taking credit for all the blood, sweat, and tears I put into making one of my own costumes, so I hope that guy is brought down, and the credit goes to whom is due to.

Anyways, I found this picture 5 minutes ago on tumblr, I haven't seen it before, but it provides reference for *gasp* a zipper! Haha, maybe this the wrong thread for this, but seeing as others are receiving helpful hints, this might be relevant to the discussion

MCL34N:

I just returned from a trip and noticed your thread regarding your ASM suit. I would like to first say that you are very gifted at your work - both IronMan & Spiderman.

MOD EDIT: THIS IS NOT A SALES THREAD, PLEASE CHECK THE JUNKYARD IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY SOMETHING.

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 6-13)(Pic Heavy)

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE SELL SOME. I am interested in it. It looked fantastic from the beginning to the end. Name your price and I will buy it. Also any issue resolved with false Spiderman costume creator guy on Twitter? Side question did you felt nervous for premiere such as suit tearing or spilt soda? Anyone asked you about your suit? And did you wear it the entire night? But with all honesty, great job on the spidey suit. You sure had a lot of motivation and dedication to create something so marvelous.

the red center piece, what did you use for this? and is it lighting up or is that just from the camera flash?
