MCL34N's Amazing Spidey- 1 Year Later (New Pics Bottom of 29)

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 6-1)(Pic Heavy)

are you using black thread to sow that together? why not red?

also does the puff paint not break if you apply it while the fabric is flat, and then stretch it when putting it on

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 6-1)(Pic Heavy)

The thread color doesn't matter, I'm going to cover the seams. And when I apply the puff paint, I stretch the fabric out in areas that need it. It's such small quantities of puff paint that it stretches to oblivion rather than breaking.

That face-shell turned out beautiful! I'm glad I opted for it :)

The fact that you were able to get the magnets to work on this and align perfectly just speaks volumes of your attention to detail and problem solving skills. You are on your way up buddy. I hope to see you break into the industry soon (if that is where you want to go), your work is definitely good enough. It's crazy how one guy is putting out all these components in such a relatively small time-frame and executing each project so perfectly. Simply outstanding.

My eyes....my eyes cannot compute such awesomeness. This can't be real, to good to be true. Mind....blown

Oh. My. God. That looks beautiful right there. I got a chill down my spine when I saw that mask

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 6-1)(Pic Heavy)

I gota say how impressed I am.

I've been debating this costume with someone who wants to sell them and have them 100% accurate...and you have proven my point sir.

The honeycomb, puff piant layers take this above and beyond a simple printed suit.....simply superb, and kudos for having the patience to do it justice.

Okay... I know I've shared a lot of pics over the last day or so, but here are some more. For some reason a lot of projects are finishing simultaneously.

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 6-1)(Pic Heavy)

That is exactly the render I want to have, I didn't know how to get it that's why I stopped the project. Thank you so much for bringing motivation back and giving the ideas to make it accurate :D
You're my hero :p

Hi McLean
The suit looks amazing!! I am interested in you lenses- can you commission a set?

Re: MCL34N's WIP Amazing Spidey Costume (UPDATED 6-1)(Pic Heavy)

MCL34N, a few pages ago you mentioned you made your own color red for the puff paint. Would you mind disclosing how you went about that? So far I can only find a few different types of red. And this work is really amazing. I hope that I can follow (humbly so) in your foot steps and use the print I have coming up to do something similar. Thanks!

Hi I am new here, your work looks amazing. I have a question to ask you, and it will be great help. I really need to know what you use to glue the spiderman lenses. Thanks so much.

if you look back hes used magnets to attach the new ones from memory use a strong gel glue and a head form to get the position right
