I'm gonna be honest, I didn't think you were gonna be able to pull off the honeycomb look for the Blue section, just because of the it's there but not there, but you really did a fantastic job on it. Your hard work WILL pay off I assure you

*****! Why the hell would you do that Chewie! Please delete that comment, it is majorly spamming this thread up. All I wanted to do was congratulate McDawg on his most excellent achievement and it took a good 20 seconds to scroll thanks to that quote!

Great job McClean! I really like the extra element the texture adds to the costume, it really helps bring it into that 3rd dimension. I like the new lenses as well, far better than the previous ones. I really do think that the lenses should be painted in a dark midnight blue metallic as per the new screens. But that's just me!

I'm very pleasantly surprised at how different the blue section looks with the HC now. Even though the blue was rich/dark on the print, the raised HC covering the black pattern makes it pop with brightness when the light hits it giving it the appearance of a lighter blue while still maintaining that dark saturation away from the light. Too awesome.

I'm very impressed with the machine-like precision you achieve on your free-hand application of the HC. I literally can't wait to see and feel the whole thing once its completed!

Since I'm not experienced with puff paints, how stretchy is it? It looks great, but if you wear it will it tear?

From my experience, as long as it isn't cold it will not tear.

Yeah it will tear if it's really thick, or it's cold. Since this is really thin amounts, it stretches a lot before coming close to tearing. I also pre stretch my fabric before applying the puff paint, so it has even more stretch.
