hope this link to TFN is ok, just thought a few of you were still wondering if the maul would be like the ep5 vader and ep 3 ani... in terms of easy dissasembly... well it looks even easier.

can you say hyperdyne conversion? :D

Out of curiosity, what is the appeal of converting the F/X sabers?

You gain a duelable blade, but lose the blade growing effect and sound effects... i.e. what makes the sabers cool to begin with. :)

    Sweet.

I just got mine yesterday, I will begin gutting it for a retrofit. :D I can finally put some decent maul sounds in it as well.

Are they self-contained or do they require a sound system nearby?

    You can do either.

I think I am going to see if an in hilt sound board will fit first.
