Kobold Clip Conversion

Hey all, to save some money with my ESB build I decided to pick up a 'cheap' kobold flash on eBay. This flash came with a clip that was the wrong variant and lacked a step.

To make it more accurate to how it should look I filled the bottom hole with JB Weld and 3D printed a custom jig to drill and sand the step in. I don't have a mill so I created a sanding bit and held the clip against the drum as it span. Hit it with some Rub n Buff and got this result.

Let me know how it turned out!

oh my gosh thats excellent! Can we see the jig? that's so creative

If you want to finish the corner, and have a steady hand, running a diamond bit along the groove will essentially mill the corner. Point the rotary tool at the back and rock the kobold or the tool to keep the curve!

Here's that jig I was talking about-

Just set it on the drum as it spins and slowly it'll eat away at the brass. Took some time but I was happy with the result. The jig that fits the clip was actually really helpful for drilling that side hole for the d-ring so I might start a run thread for them. Don't know how niche it is though.
