If you paid by credit card then you would have to go the normal dispute route with your card company. Other than that I think it’s too late to join in any suit as I posted this information about the bankruptcy filing that was almost a year ago. Sorry but I do wish you the best of Good luck in recovering any funds . GC

do any of you guys have any tips for finding out if companies are like the master replicas groups other than looking at reviews
So this arrived in today in the mail from the PA Bankruptcy Court. Since I started this thread as the OP in July 2020 I am going to finish it with answering so...... what happened?
Here is the bottom line only $16,422.20 was able to be recovered.
That was basically divided amongst the lawyers and the State. I will SPARE this thread with other pages of the 309 claimants (with full names) that Master Replicas Group owed money too. The last page is telling as there is zero dollars left or expected to pay claimants from number 5 to number 309. Always pay with credit a card folks! I was lucky but as I suspected even as I filed a claim before I recovered my funds from my credit card company this went EXACTLY as expected. When a company can't deliver for years..... always consider pulling out and in my opinion the prop collecting community and fan base deserves something way better than this BS. My second best bit of advise is if you hear of another incarnation of Master Replicas or anything that the head of that former team or teammates are/is involved in.... Run. GC

Interesting the Smithsonian was one of the names and for quite a bit of money they wanted back. WTF is that about? I'm on there but my email was used for my name??? go figure. Since there will be no money, it's all moot.
Yep there is zero money after the lawyers and accountants and state court were payed. Just between TD Bank and Bank of America they were owed over 50k alone. They received nothing as well.

The majority of the dinosaur products they made were licensed from the Smithsonian. I guess they didn't pay the license fees?

Sounds like someone/many someones got away with quite a bit of cash.
Steve D is on a never ending Grift. How do major businesses even think of dealing with him? They must not do Any basic searches on his name and past dealing as it would show he is a Grifter . Look on EBay he has all the items he took people on . Steve made off with the Grifted cash and the props and is selling them and it’s legal ? This guy should write a how to Grift book .

You have to go after Steve himself not his llc . Thats Why he keeps Grifting he thinks people won’t try and pull back the curtain. I was really into high end Replicas when I got into this hobby and was fascinated with Icons and found out about the scams they pulled. But people knew Jim Latta had assets and went after him directly and I’m pretty sure from what I read he was forced to live out of his car for a while . Steve has assets people need to go after those . He should have 500 liens on his house at this point .

Just sucks. Really wanted the whole deal up on the wall. I have a decent Hal9000 by itself but the screens and buttons were going to be amazing.
